Our Mission
Sunday River Wildlife provides rescue and rehabilitaion for injured and orphaned wildlife in Western Maine. Our goal is to release all of our patients back into the wild. We follow One Health - recognizing the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment. Through education and community outreach we nurture compassion for all living things.
SRW is a 501 c3 Non-profit and is licensed by Maine Department of Inland Fish and Wildlife and United States Fish and Wildlife. Sunday River Wildlife has an all volunteer team and is entirely funded by private gifts.

Introducing..
Maine Bat Rescue
SRW is happy to announce a new addition to our Wildlife Care -
Maine Bat Rescue. Maine Bat Rescue is a new outreach to help citizens learn about the bats in their community as well as providing care and support for injured and orphaned bats. Maine Bat Rescue will be providing site visits as well as advice on how to handle bats in your area and in your barns and homes. Please stay tuned for more information and follow us on Instagram and facebook.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
There are many ways that you can help us protect Maine's native wildlife. We are currently looking for release sites for our wildlife patients that are ready to be free. We will also be looking for volunteers in Spring 2021. Our volunteer program is currently restricted due to Covid-19, but we are currently accepting applications.
